Tuesday, May 11, 2004 I was rooting for Rupert to win, but wasn't surprised, at all, when he was booted. Jenna made a mistake when she voted with Amber and Rob to vote him out, I think. The marriage proposal from Rob to Amber at the reunion? It was sweet, even though I can't stand either of them. I'm such a sucker for things like that. I didn't care whether Amber or Rob won the million. Like I said, I don't like either of them that much. Anyway, since they're engaged now, they'll probably be sharing the money. Jerri leaving the reunion after the crowd booed her? I don't sympathize with her. If she didn't know what she was getting into the first time she played Survivor, she definitely knew the second time -- and that leaves her no room to complain, I think. Colby & Ethan were looking good at the reunion. I was bummed when they were voted off. Not only are they great-looking guys, they played the game with integrity. (Not that having integrity has any benefits while playing a game like Survivor!) The "twist" that they kept referring to is pretty cool: We get to vote for one of the 18 "All-Stars" to receive an additional one million dollars. I'm voting for Rupert. I can't say exactly why I like him. I guess he reminds me of my dad, a big ol' teddy bear who'll turn into a grizzly the moment his family or loved ones are threatened in any way. All in all, I thought this season of Survivor was one of the best. Oh, and rumor has it that the next sSurvivor will be filmed in the United States. Interesting, very interesting.
