Here's the list of my favorite podcasts that I promised you I'd post, sorry it's taken so long.

American Cliche: This is a "strange news" podcast with a political bent. Scott also plays some awesome music.

Anthony from Paris: Anthony is originally from the UK, but currently resides in Paris. He does a lot of interesting sound/scene tours around Paris, as well as interspersing his shows with music. I love his British accent; it's refreshing to hear voices from all around the world.

Borderline: Lynn and Neil are located in Lincoln, NE (Danni recently moved to Denver, but is still included in the conversaton). They are entertaining, humorous and seem to have fun recording their podcast.

Delta Park Project: A pop culture podcast brought to you by Jason and Anna from Portland, Oregon. They discuss movies, television shows, and other current pop culture topics. Delta Park Project is among the very first podcasts I listened to regularly, and is still one of my favorites.

Downshift Me: I've recently begun to listen to this podcast by Matt and A.J. who are moving from Leeds, England to Nova Scotia, Canada to simplify their lives. It has been interesting to follow their progress through the first fifteen shows. In the shows I have listened to so far, they have not yet left England. I plan to catch up with their podcasts, to find out how they are faring in Canada.

Escape Pod: Sci-fi audio magazine: I was ecstatic to discover a free online audio magazine with excellent sci-fi content. Each week a new story is added, the length is usually from 20-40 minutes each. Many of the authors are published and well known in the sci-fi world. I have rarely been disappointed in the quality of the stories.

The Lost Podcast With Jay and Jack : After every episode of the ABC Show "Lost" airs, Jay and Jack discuss the show in depth. They also recap the shows later and play voice mails from listeners and read emails pertaining to that episode. If you, like me, are a "Lost" fan, you'll probably enjoy this wacky podcast.

NPR Story of the Day: The one thing National Public Radio editors think you won't want to miss. This is always informative and many times entertaining, and always interesting.

Quirky Nomads : The story of a family that said, "If the Republicans get any worse, we're moving to Canada." And then? They really did. An interactive story-telling podcast which involves the listeners, who call in and email to share their stories. A thought-provoking frequently updated podcast.

Seventh Son: A Podcast Novel: You've heard of audio books, but have you heard of PodioBooks? A new genre of podcasts has recently sprung up wherein authors read their own books and offer them for free as podcasts. One of the best examples of a podcast book is J.C. Hutchins' "Seventh Son". It's a science fiction novel about cloning and the dangers of creating something without knowing the ramifications to the world of your creation. "Seventh Son" is divided into three books, the first book is called "Descent". The last two books have not yet been released as podcasts, but are coming soon, according to the author. Make sure to start with episode one of "Seventh Son: Descent" if you don't want to spoil the plot line.

Sound of Young America: A public radio show about things that are awesome, hosted by Jesse Thorn.

Spurscast : During the San Antonio Spurs basketball season, Michael, Jeff and Mike discuss and give commentary on each game. As a Spurs fan, I appreciate all the news and tidbits which they provide.

Urban Coffee: Dave and Seth, two guys from Dallas, Texas, converse about current events, music, tech news and more each week. I usually listen to podcasts from far away places, but it's nice to hear voices from fellow Texans, as well.

Wicked Good Podcast: A weekly slice of life and misadventures from the heart of New England, with Steve and Maureen. Living near Boston, they discuss their daily lives with humor, and share their enjoyment of "thrifty" shopping. They talk about food, restaurants, television and games, and also play indie music from the Boston area.

Word Nerds: Two Howards and Dave have a weekly discussion about words and why we say the things we do. They are school teachers by day, and have a huge fascination with the english language, as well as others. As a logophile myself, I eat up stuff like this. They include one song selection on each podcast which relates to that week's theme.

Zedcast: Bruce Murray, of Nova Scotia, shares comedy skits, personal stories and lively sound/scene tours from Canada. Bruce has an engaging personality, and a way with words which draws you in and makes you feel like you're his best friend.

After listening daily to so many podcasts, I've caught the podcasting bug. I'm working on a show right now, I'll share more details with you soon.

On a totally different subject, I finally broke down and created a myspace account. You can view it here. Feel free to add me to your friend's list if you have an account there.
