The album I have been anticipating for almost two years was finally released on November 7th. On Josh Groban's Awake, he takes more control over the production of his music and explores exciting new musical territory. On his previous albums, Josh predominately sang in other languages, but, he sings more english songs on Awake. The album is quite eclectic, influenced greatly by the artists who Josh collaborated with, including Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Dave Matthews, Imogen Heap and a plethora of superstar producers.

I can never pick just one favorite song; at the moment I am really digging "Now or Never," "Solo Por Ti," and "Machine." My list of favorites changes constantly; I love them all!

Starting in February 2007, Josh will embark on a North American Tour; and he will be in San Antonio on March 22nd. I have secured my tickets -- sixth row! -- and my brother, Ben, will be attending the concert with me. He's almost as much of a "Josh Fan" as I am. ;)

Josh will perform at the American Music Awards on November 21st. (It will air on ABC.)

More Josh goodness: Eons Interviews Josh Groban, Groban Finds What He Wants on 'Awake', Video: George Stroumboulopoulos Interviews Josh, Videos of Josh: Live Performances and Interviews.

I have so many favorite singer-songwriters, but, Josh Groban is my very favorite by far! His voice has a quality that is powerful and yet gentle and honest. I'm so glad that Josh made this third album; it has surpassed my expectations, was well worth the wait and leaves me anticipating his future projects.

On Saturday, November 11, I attended the Hotel Cafe Tour Show at the House of Rock in Corpus Christi, Texas. The main reason I went to the show was to see Joshua Radin perform, and he did not disappoint! He has a truly wonderful voice, very soothing and mellow; and I love his lyrics. (Listen to four of his songs here.)

His album, "We Were Here," is definitely worth purchasing! You can get it at Amazon or on iTunes.

After the show, I had a chance to chat with Joshua for a few minutes, and was pleased to discover that he loves Corpus Christi! He wrote a very nice message on my copy of his CD and gave me a lovely hug! If you have the opportunity to attend a Hotel Cafe Tour show, check it out.

On October 7th, I posted an idea to the Podcast Pickle Forums. Six weeks later, my idea is a reality:
Thanks to Gary Leland and the Podcast Pickle Crew for all of their hard work on the PodcasterTree. The tree is easy to use and works wonderfully. If you are interested in podcasts or podcasting, this is a great place to start exploring.

Click here to view the tree for Random Fandom, my podcast.

The two podcasts which influenced me the most to start my own show are the Delta Park Project and the ZedCast.
I highly recommend both of these shows!
