Draw Your Boss. This one especially made me laugh. [above three links via idle type]

Prank calls using audio clips of movies & celebrities. This call using a clip from Office Space is my favorite.

"Four years ago, Mal Veale had a revelation. Mal is a full time self-employed builder and joiner, and part time designer, eco-artisan and human powered vehicle factory.

"I had a three ton van, and I realised most of the time I was using it to carry about 100kg of stuff," Mal recalls. This set him thinking. For a man with a clutch of sheds and garages, several deconstructed bicycles and a pair of welders goggles, the outcome was inevitable: the Vealemobile."

What book are you? Take the Book Quiz to find out. I'm The Catcher in the Rye.

Being a doctor it's easy to forget how the human body contains not only blood, tissue, and nerves, but also emotions like love and hope. But then you remember, and you're all, "Ew, ew."

New layout, nothing sophisticated. I wanted something new, although I'm not sure if I'll even keep it up for long.

I just bought to the internet only edition of Josh Groban's Closer album. I already have the regular edition, but I wanted the four extra songs and the DVD that come with the internet only verision. I can't say enough about how much I enjoy Josh's music! If you've not heard him before, check him out. You can listen to some of his music at his official website.

My terminology and pronunciation is 48% Yankee, according to this quiz. "Barely into the Yankee category." (0% is pure Yankee and 100% is pure Dixie) Well, that makes sense, since I was born in Minnesota and lived there for seven years before moving to Texas.

I purposely don't say things like ya'll -- or, worse yet -- all ya'll; and I don't think I have much of a Texan/Southern accent. In fact, when I was in Calgary last year, I was mistaken for a Canadian more than once.

You may not agree with what's happening in these photos, but they convey great joy, don't they? [via mefi]

The Micropolitan Museum "For several centuries artists have depicted the human figure, still-lifes, landscapes or non-figurative motives. One subject has been widely neglected all those years: Micro organisms!"

The Nit Picker's Guide to the Lord of the Rings is "...a lengthy list of deviations to be found when comparing the text of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien and the translation of those texts to film as undertaken by Peter Jackson, et.al." Now that I've actually read all the books, I can read this site. Heh.

Teens flee polygamist towns. (Published Jan. 19) "'We've got eight runners now, including two with children, and got a bunch more coming,' said Flora Jessop of Phoenix, a former Colorado City resident who has been active in opposing multiple marriages since she escaped from the polygamist enclave as a teenager in the mid-1980s." Wow, that reads like fiction but is all too real.

If you're not into Lord of the Rings, you won't get this; but I found it funny. Maybe I'm too easily amused sometimes.

Boy’s angel sighting leads to rescue of injured snowmobiler: "If it weren’t for 9-year-old Keith Winkler and a little girl with pigtails and angel wings, Terri Wood may not have been rescued after she hit a tree with her snowmobile..."

Best Pictures of 2003. There are some amazing pictures in there!

This site is one of the reason's I love the internet: NOAA Photo Library. There are thousands and thousands of public domain photos there, most of them able to be downloaded as high resolution images. Here are some of my favorite collections: Severe storms, Paths less taken, NOAA's Ark, Beginnings and endings.
