Sunday, April 1, 2001 Monday, March 26, 2001 Thursday, March 22, 2001 I could hardly believe that this was not an elaborate hoax or joke: CousinCouples.com, "The world's primary information and support network for and about romantic relationships among cousins." Eww! The Virtual Freakshow. "...there is a conspiracy against freaks. You know what it is? It is the do-goodies and the liberals. They have taken away the fun and fantasy of the freak shows that these wonderful freakie people used to make their livings with. The goodie-two-shoes have destroyed their living." This is wrong. People with disablities need help. They deserve a better life than being gawked at can give them.
"Milton Mills...American!" Art Crimes: The Writing on the Wall
Genochoice - Create Your Own Genetically Healthy Child Online. It's scary to think that this could be reality within a few short years! Tuesday, March 20, 2001 Utorials.com: A lot of sites like this are popping up. I wonder if they'll stay around very long...? Anyway, I created a tutorial on starting a weblog. Check it out.
More links later... Saturday, March 17, 2001 For all you macabre jewelry fans: Human bone jewelery. Yuck. My generation (Gen. Y? Ugh, I hate that phrase.) and Gen. X are so very lucky that we never had a major war to fight. CNN has an interesting feature: You put in your birthday and they tell you if you would have been drafted to go to Vietnam. I would have been! Well, if I'd been alive and been a guy, of course. Museum of Hoaxes covers hoaxes from pre-1700's all the way to the present. Someone irritating you? Well, now you can cast an online curse, anything from bad breath to alien abduction to stock market loss. Rainbows as art. I wish they had some better pictures on the site. I'm sure the rainbows are stunningly beautiful. Fire and Ice Photograhy: Some of the photos are breathtaking!

MyWordADay.com Friday, March 16, 2001 I'm broke but I'm happyPosted by Joanna @ 7:05 p.m. PseudoDictionary.com. This is so cool: They take made up words, slang, webspeak and colloquialisms that people submit and add them to the "pseudodictionary." Example: "karenizing - An office worker act. Pretending that he /she is totally busy with office work but in fact, the person does not have a single project / work." Since soon all members of the Army are going to be wearing black barets, the Army Rangers have asked to wear tan barets and their request has been granted: "...the Army had approved its request to change the regiment's beret color 'to maintain the distinctiveness of the unit and reflect the legacy of more than two centuries of Ranger history.'"
Lots of people are outraged that President Bush reneged on his promise on regulating carbon dioxide emmissions from power plants. Well, I'm not; yet not because he's a Republican or a conservative, but because he's a politician. Politicians lie to get where they want, then they go back on their promises. It's a well-known fact. Surprise, surprise. This makes me sick: Britney Spears to be paid over $700,000 to write novel. It's so aggravating! She can't even sing and now she's getting paid to write? There are so many other deserving authors out there! TV viewing leads to dementia: "'American researchers have found compelling new evidence that people who spend long hours in front of television are at increased risk of Alzheimer's disease.
Research published today suggests that adults with hobbies that exercise the brain - such as reading, jigsaw puzzles, chess or knitting - are two-and-a-half times less likely than others to have the disease.'" SoulXchange: the world's first soul 2 soul marketplace. Reminds me of that guy who tried to sell his soul on eBay. :: shields her face :: Ahh, it's the Nude Carrot Man. Heh. Where's George? This site allows you track dollar bills. Seems rather interesting. I think I'll try it. Sometimes other people say what I'm trying to say so much more eloquently: Quote Garden. The Onion's Pathetic Geek Stories. Heh. Dr. Mac's Cultural Calendar. I find things like this endlessly amusing. Am I a geek?
Wanna see your Sims nude? Then download the patch here. Heh. Thursday, March 15, 2001 Tuesday, March 13, 2001 It seems that Disturbing Search Requests is getting famous. RateItAll.com: Like Epinions, except you don't get paid for your opinions.
The Bad Fads Museum. Yes, the Farrah Fawcett hairdo was horrible!

What Historical Figure Do You Relate To?
Chris Carter talks about his new show, The Lone Gunmen, an X-Files spin-off. I saw the premier episode Sunday night. It was actually not that bad, better than I was expecting. It has a lot of humor that left the X-Files after Mulder was abducted. (Scully just doesn't have the quick-witted repartee that Mulder did.)
Thursday, March 8, 2001 Ever wonder how old you were in dog years? Use the Dog Years Calculator to find out. I'm 2.86 years-old in dog years; if I were a dog, I'd be 140-years-old! An online spirograph! I used to love creating all sorts of designs with those them I was little.
Salon's editors pick the 10 most paranoid tomes of all time. Wednesday, March 7, 2001 Vote for our (American) National Tree. I voted for the pine. I love the way they look and I love their fragrant needles. Too bad there aren't many pine trees in south Texas. I miss them! Hey, now we all can look like Austin Powers (well, our teeth can look like his, anyway) Well, the only good thing I can say about the man is that we share the same last name... What Were They Thinking?! Ten shows that "embody the spirit of mediocrity," yet remained on the air for years. I'm only guilty of watching Full House (Hey, I was little!) and I have a few very vague memories of CHiPS. A Collection of Word Oddities and Trivia. I guess you might have to be a linguaphile to like stuff like this. I love it! :) Postcards From The 13th Dimension -- Some of my favorites: "I'm very excited to hear stories about your very misguided life.", "I could fill an entire haiku with good things to say about you.", "I look forward to seeing your new and improved haircut soon." Now you play at being Sherlock Holmes: Solve a mystery daily at Mysteries.com
Always wanted to go to Rome but just can't afford it? Try the next best thing: The Roman webcam! Tuesday, March 6, 2001
Recently downloaded MP3s: I know, my musical taste doesn't run in the exactly rare genre; but you can't exactly blame me: indie music is hard to come by in southern most Texas, at least I'm not listening to Garth Brooks! Heh ;) Speaking of music, this site allows you to find the #1 song in the USA and the UK on the day you were born. It's rather nifty; but why, oh, why did Woman In Love, by Barbra Streisand have to be #1 on the day I was born?! I've been looking for quite a lot of lyrics lately, due to my MP3 downloading session, and have found that Lyrix Engine is rather useful. Don't go there looking for really unknown band's lyrics -- you won't find them. (Don't let the picture of Christina Aguilera scare you away! Heh ;)
Well, that wasn't much for an update, but I haven't been surfing a lot lately. I'll be back with more soon, though! :)
