That's how long eclectica has been online. When I first started the weblog in November 1999, I never imagined I would continue blogging for so long. The author of the review is naturally biased in her state's favor, though, so I wouldn't put too much stock in her opinion. Not that it actually matters since I never eat that kind of food. Proof of that: I just discovered that "Stardust," by Neil Gaiman has been adapted into a movie and is in theaters now. I thoroughly enjoyed "Stardust" when I read it years ago, so, of course, I'm thrilled they've made it into a film! Quality fantasy movies are hard to come by, so this is definitely one I'll be going to the theater to "see!"

Having been born in Minneapolis and spending my first seven years there, the city still holds a special place in my heart. The inexplicableness and awfulness of the incident is heartbreaking.

On Saturday, November 11, I attended the Hotel Cafe Tour Show at the House of Rock in Corpus Christi, Texas. The main reason I went to the show was to see Joshua Radin perform, and he did not disappoint! He has a truly wonderful voice, very soothing and mellow; and I love his lyrics.
